33rd ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
The 33rd Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2019-20 was held in the School Auditorium on 10 November 2020. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Brig R K Singh, Offg MG Arty, HQCC and Chairman of the School & the Guest of Honour was Mrs. Nutan, Chairperson, AWWA for APS Nehru Road. Several other dignitaries and parents also graced the occasion. The
programme commenced with invoking the blessings of the Lord Almighty.
Aryaki Chaturvedi (98.6%) and Saavani Karkhanis (98%)of Humanities Stream, Abhay Singh (98.4%)of Science Stream, Dinesh Chandra Bhatt and Niteen Bhadauria (93%) of Commerce Stream received a Gold Medal and a Merit Certificate for exceptional achievements in CBSE Class XII Board Examinations.
A Gold Medal and a Merit Certificatewas also awarded to Sara Mann (98.8%), Soumitra Rai ( 98.2%) and Palavi Rai (97.2%) for excelling in CBSE Class X Board Examinations.
Silver Medals along with Merit Certificates were given to the students scoring highest marks in different subjects in the CBSE class XII and X Board Examinations.
A Scholarship in the memory of Late Ripudaman Singh Bhatia which carries a cash prize of Rs 11,000 was instituted in the School from the session 2016-17 by Ms Gagandeep Bhatia, an alumna of the school. The scholarship is given to the meritorious girl student of class Xfor excelling in Scholastic as well as Co- Scholastic activities.Sara Mann of class X C is the recipient of this prestigious scholarship for the session 2019-2020. She also received the Numero Uno Scholarship.
Dr (Mrs) Sudha Rai (PGT Psychology), Ms Sadhana Devi(PGT Biology), Mr. Rakesh Verma (PGT Maths) and Mr. Vinay Kumar ( PGT, P. Ed), Ms Sunanda Verma ( PGT English) and Ms Prabha Verma ( TGT Maths) were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their unstinted efforts that enabled the students to score 100% in their subjects in the CBSE Class XII and X Board Examinations.
The School has been awarded the Rolling Trophy for Best Army Public School in Central Command ( Large Category) and the Rolling Trophy for maximum entries into NDA, TES and INA. The School also received the Rolling Trophy for Academically Most Improved Army Public School in Central Command ( Large Category).
The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the students and inspired them to prepare themselves to face the challenges bravely. He also wished them future success.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Principal, Ms Neena Mathur.
